Been pondering recently, and just wondered if anyone could help with diagrams.

I've noticed a 158 is booked to do the 0831 Huddersfield-Leeds, does this then go on to do the 0947 Leeds-Carlisle as it doesn't do the 1013 Leeds-Man Vic as normal.

Where do the 2 142's that do the 1744 Leeds-Knaresborough then ECS to Heaton come in from (think one comes off Leeds-Sheffields) and when is the return working of the ECS from Heaton (presumably 2 different 142s to NL?)

How many HT based 156 diagrams are there, and how many are in the Newcastle/Tyne area (as opposed to the Cumbrian coast)

Thanks in advance as always.

The 2 142's both work Sheffield-Leeds services previously, they come off the 1514 and 1614 from Sheffield to work the service.

There's an early morning (around 0100-0200?) ECS to York which conveys 2 142's down to Yorkshire.

There are 14 HT based 156's so obviously there'd be 12/13 service diagrams. Don't know the exact number in Tyne/Newcastle area, but there are 5 booked HT 156 diagrams on the Cumbrian Coast.

Thanks for the informative reply Shaun :) I don't suppose you'd have details of the Cumbrian Coast diagrams would you?

Hmmm, off the top of my head the following are booked 156's.

0522, 0842 Preston-Carlisle
0940, 1247 Carlisle-Lancaster
1122 Barrow-Carlisle
1231 Barrow-Carlisle
1421 Carlisle-Barrow
1512 Carlisle-Preston

A HT based unit leaves the area on 1728 Barrow-Carlisle if I remember rightly and goes off to Newcastle and is replaced by another unit which goes onto 2033 down to Whitehaven.

The 0833 from Huddersfield forms the 1037 Manchester Victoria service.

2M36 1408 Leeds-Manchester Vic
2E41 1548 Manchester Vic-Selby
2M54 1802 Selby-Manchester Vic
2E67 2228 Manchester Vic-Leeds

The 0947 to Carlisle is formed by the 0757 from York (via Harrogate).
Quote:
5C02 0538 Neville Hill - Leeds
2C02 0609 Leeds - York
2C13 0757 York - Leeds
1M53 0947 Leeds - Carlisle
1E23 1503 Carlisle - Leeds
2H96 1756 Leeds – Carlisle

I've taken these from the unit diagrams thread http://www.northernrailways.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7195.

Hope this helps
